Peterborough and District League Premier Division leaders Moulton Harrox suffered a blow to their title challenge as they lost 3-1 at Crowland Town on Tuesday night.
Uppingham Town won 2-0 at Stamford Belvedere at the same time to move two points behind Moulton but with two games in hand.
Harrox themselves won 1-0 at Belvedere on Saturday when Uppingham were held to a 0-0 draw by Holbeach United Reserves.
They’re in excellent form ahead of Friday night’s Peterborough Senior Cup final at Deeping against Uppingham and thrashed FC Peterborough 4-0 on Tuesday.
They’re fourth, with in-form Crowland fifth after putting seven past Oundle Town, Ethan Allen and Mantas Paskevicius both with two, Danny Firth, Juliano Resta and Chris Winstanley also netting.
Tydd are set to finish second from bottom despite a 2-2 draw at Oakham United on Saturday in which Bradley Easey scored twice.
In Division One, Holbeach United Sports won 4-0 at Stamford Lions while Long Sutton Athletic lost 2-0 at home to Wittering Premiair Reserves.
Crowland Town Reserves drew 3-3 with Glinton and Northborough in Division Two to move further from the bottom two courtesy of a Connor Goddon double and Jimmy Coles’ 75th minute equaliser.
Tydd Reserves look set to finish in those places after a 6-0 loss at home to Cardea.
Division Three’s Sutton Bridge United drew 1-1 with Netherton United A, Ben Partridge with the goal.
In Division Four, Whaplode Drove Rovers Reserves won 1-0 at Holbeach Bank on Tuesday after drawing 0-0 with Sawtry Reserves on Saturday.
On that day Whaplode lost 5-1 at home to Thorney, Jordan Woods with the consolation.
