Staff at Spalding care homes have been helping memories bloom this summer.
Country Court recently held its Bloom 2025 awards for homes it looks after at Fenchurch House in Spalding.
This year’s theme, “Your Space, Your Story,” invited residents to shape gardens that reflect personal memories and meaningful moments across five categories.
Fenchurch itself won for the category Pots With Purpose and was runner-up in The Great Garden Game and the overall Bloom 2025 winners.
Beech Lodge in Holbeach was runner up in the Grow Your Own Goodness category while Tallington Lodge Care Home, Stamford, earned the overall win.
Steve Gardner, head of wellbeing and training, said: “Country Court in Bloom is more than just a gardening competition. It encourages residents and staff to spend time outdoors, enjoying nature, and has created opportunities for people to come together, work on projects, and share their gardening knowledge and stories with each other and the wider community.”
