Vintage Hollywood is the theme at this year’s annual Kidney Research Charity Ball in Spalding.

It will be the fifth ball organised by committee members Hannah Robinson, Natalie Herring and Richard Spurr.
The trio have raised more than £25,000 for Kidney Research UK, which undertakes research for kidney patients, like Hannah and Natalie’s mother Pauline.
Pauline was born with a medical condition which has meant her kidney has continued to decline. Her condition is now stable through daily medication and check-ups.

Hannah said: “I started raising funds for Kidney Research UK while I was at school by organising various events. I managed to raise around £2,000.”
This year’s ball at Spingfields Event Centre on Saturday, November 8, will include live music, raffle, auction and a four-course dinner.
The committee said: “This year’s event is going to be our biggest and best yet, we are really excited about it.
“We are really thankful to all those that have helped us and continue to do so. Without the support of local and national businesses these events would not be possible.”

Tickets are £45 each. To book contact Hannah on 07841 420879 or Richard on 07943 817860.
Last year’s Caribbean Calypso Ball raised £10,000.
