Blessings from Ravenhill at village hall

A Pinchbeck singer songwriter has hit the airwaves ahead of a gig in the village.

Jordan Ravenhill’s song Start Again is earning spins on BBC radio and he was recently a guest on the BBC Introducing East Midlands show presented by Dean Jackson.

He’d submitted the single after a request for songs to be sent in.

“Dean called it “the cream of the crop” out of hundreds of submissions from across the East Midlands,” Jordan said. “The story behind the song is what makes this special — I wrote Start Again at 15 years old on a cheap guitar my dad brought home from Lidl after my first heartbreak.

“It was four chords written in minutes and 14 years later it’s on BBC Radio.

“Along the way I’ve sold out Rochester Cathedral to 550 people, supported the Sugababes at Rochester Castle, and had my music selected by Jake Gosling — Ed Sheeran’s producer — for a worldwide playlist.

After arriving in Pinchbeck, Jordan released his debut album Blessing With Life on Band Camp in 2024.

And he’s set to play it in full live at Pinchbeck Village Hall on Saturday, September 5.

Tickets are £8 and are available from www.eventbrite.co.uk Search for Jordan Ravenhill Blessing With Life.
