Billiards round-up: Red-hot Childs sinks another impressive century break for Crowland B

Cue ace Rob Childs racked up another sensational century in the Spalding and District Billiards League on Monday night.

The Crowland B potter, who plays off a mammoth O250 handicap, made breaks of 104, 86 and 45 to help his side thrash hosts Gosberton B 7-0.

Team-mates Paul Holland (R60) and Allan Sharman (R60) also made breaks of 24 and 22 respectively en-route to frame victories, while Shane Whiter (O20) and James Waterfall (R50) added scores of 36 and 28 for the beaten hosts.

Also 7-0 winners were Donington, who had too much for host side Consti C. Jim Thompson (R50), Ben Wrigglesworth (R50) and Matt Turner (R50) bagged breaks of 24, 31 and 20 for the winners.

Stewart Davies (R90) did manage a 30 break in defeat for Consti C.

Elsewhere, breaks of 37, 34 and 32 from Mick Johnson (O170) in a final frame win helped Consti B see off Pyramid A 4-3 on the Bourne baize.
