Billiards round-up: Holbeach A go clear at summit after stellar Sutton success

Holbeach A have opened up a 6.5-point lead at the top of Spalding and District Billiards League after whitewashing hosts Long Sutton 7-0.

Colin Dodd’s (R40) 22 break was their highlight.

Also winning 7-0 on Monday night were Consti A, who saw off Crowland B.

Rob Childs (O250) reeled off breaks of 58 and 46 for beaten Crowland in defeat.

Elsewhere, Ben Wrigglesworth’s (R50) breaks of 29 and 20 steered Donington to a 5-2 win at Gosberton A, while Martin O’ Connor (R20) sank a 22 break as his Pyramid B side lost 5-2 against Pyramid A.
