Rob Childs set a new best break for the season in Spalding and District Billiards League on Monday night.
The Crowland B player’s 151 upped the benchmark by 12 points.
November proved to be a month of spectacular breaks.
The season’s best was first set by Holbeach A’s Hugh Pinner with 139, which he followed up a fortnight later with a 124.
But Childs is now in pole position for the R Gaunt Trophy with his marvellous effort in the home match against Long Sutton.
Opponent Mark Tims was a spectator for long, long spells as Childs also built breaks of 63, 50, 33 and 21. He completed the 200-118 win with an unfinished 44.
Paul Holland’s win ensured the match result went Crowland B’s way but Mick Cooper earned Sutton two points to take home.
Gosberton B had a good return from two matches played on Monday. They netted ten points after winning a rearranged fixture with Consti B 7-0 and losing 4-3 to Pyramid A.
Meanwhile, Pyramid B won 4-3 at home to Gosberton A.
