If you are looking a bit further afield for your night out, a night with superstar DJ Kissy Sellout might just fit the bill.
The Assembly Rooms in Boston, owned by Spalding’s own Loaded nightclub owner Matt Clark is playing host to the eccentric misfit Essex boy famed for his hugely popular BBC Radio 1 show Kissy Klub on Saturday, May 3.
Kissy might be best known for his Radio 1 show, but he is a staple of the east London Electro scene, and his music has reached great heights working with the likes of Diplo, Felix Da Housecat, Hervé, Uffie & Erol Alkan!
When Kissy isn’t working on his own music, he is producing music under his label San City High, but also releases on Ministry of Sound!
Whilst he was described by MixMag as “one of the most exciting, charismatic and entertaining DJs of the decade”, his show was regularly referred to on air as the “craziest show in dance music”.
So you can expect his set at the Assembly Rooms to be no different and something very special for Boston.
A rigid application process has to be undertaken by Kissy’s management team, and it was not until recently that following numerous successful events in Boston they decided the Assembly Rooms was good enough for him.
Assembly Rooms manager Paul Morgan has answered the calls of many regulars by bringing such a big name to the venue.
He said: “We are thrilled to be bringing such a high end guest DJ to Boston.
“His set is sure to impress our regulars and travelling crowd alike, making it a night to remember.
“The music genre is very different to our normal set, but we wanted to spice things up a bit and are confident that those who come to The Assembly Rooms enjoy and understand good music, and not just the standard generic chart tracks.
“The set made up of electro and speed garage is sure to deliver an electrifying and high energy atmosphere, with a nod to the Vegas venues that inspired the venue’s transformation!
Despite the significant cost of bringing Kissy to the venue and against his management’s recommendation of charging in excess of £18 for entry, early bird tickets start from as little as £5, and £15 for VIP.
Prices will rise to up to £25 on the door, so it is advised to get your tickets early.
The best seats in the house are in one of the red carpet booths, where you can get up close and personal during Kissy Sellout’s set.
Red carpet booth packages start at £250 and include Q-Jump entry for up to eight people, accompanied by a great package of champagne, spirits and mixers.
