The Men’s Presentation Day four-ball betterball competition at Tydd St Giles Golf Course was a belated competition which had to be reorganised because of bad weather.
Organiser and handicap secretary Gino Ciuffini thanked all for taking part.
The day was also the showing of the new men’s club captain Graham Barritte presenting trophies to 2024 winners.
Ciuffini reminded all that competition entry fees for 2025 would cover £1,000 awarded to the green keepers to spend on any improvements to the course during 2025.
Winners of the betterball competition (after count back) with 107 points were Jonathan Hubbard, Mark Whittaker, Michael Ewing, and J Morais, in second (ocb) with 107 points were John Martin, Ciuffini, Ken Doughty and Luke Stanford, and in third with 105 points were Wayne Alder, Clive Barber, Tim Page, and Oliver Ewing.
Ciuffini was pleased to donate £100 raised on the day to the new club captain’s charity pot.
The 2024 club captain Neil John nominated Luke Stanford as player of the year.
