Barman accused of stealing from pub

A former barman accused of stealing money from a Spalding pub will go on trial in May next year.

Luke Jackson, 31, faces 29 charges of theft from the Moorings pub in Commercial Road between 26 May 2019 and 3 November 2019.

Jackson, of Sewell Way, Spalding, appeared by video-link at Lincoln Crown Court today(Tues) for a pre-trial hearing.

No charges were put but Jackson’s solicitor, Neil Sands, indicated that he denied all the offences and any dishonesty.

Jackson will go on trial at Lincoln Crown Court in the week commencing May 24 next year.

His trial is expected to last two days.

Judge Simon Hirst adjourned the case for trial and granted Jackson bail until his next court appearance.
