Two Spalding attractions are set to feature on the TV after a hit daytime show filmed in the area on Friday (May 21).
An episode of Bargain Hunt has been filmed in South Holland with presenter Christina Trevanion visiting both the Chain Bridge Forge and Spalding Gentlemen’s Society.
“They were filming at the antiques emporium at Peterborough Showground and were looking for places where they can do some extra cameos to talk about the community around where they’re filming.
“I think they had a fabulous time.
“Christina made a heart with our blacksmith Ryan and it was just a really nice activity.”
The Gentlemen’s Society chair Petronella Keeling was interviewed for the show: “It was fabulous to have them here.
“They were really excited about our wonderful collection and said how lucky we were to have it here in Spalding.
“Dustin Frazier-Wood, our archivist and librarian spoke about some of the items in the collection and we spoke about the history of the society and its foundation at Ayscoughfee Hall.”
