Bakk supporting area’s Pride

The Bakkavor Local Charity Champion is always a highlight of the annual Pride of South Holland Awards.

The company is once again supporting the annual event that shines a light on those who make a difference in the district.

It wants to hear from you about those who play an outstanding role locally for charities.

A Bakkavor spokesman said: “As one of the largest employers in the region, we want to play a role in the effort, passion, and dedication that makes this area such a strong and vibrant place to live and work.

“That’s why supporting the Pride of South Holland Awards makes sense for us as the awards celebrate and recognise the great work being done locally that is really making a difference.

“It’s about recognising the people who go the extra mile — whether that’s helping a neighbour, volunteering their time, or showing quiet kindness when it’s needed most

“These awards highlight those individuals and groups, giving them the recognition they truly deserve.

“Winning a Pride of South Holland Award can mean a lot to someone. It’s a reminder that what they do matters and that their contribution doesn’t go unnoticed.

“That kind of encouragement can be powerful — it lifts people up and often inspires others to get involved too.

“One of our core values is be proud of what we do”, and that extends beyond the workplace and into the community we’re part of. The Pride of South Holland Awards share that same spirit — celebrating the people who make a difference, who care, and who make South Holland the kind of place we’re all proud to call home.

“We’re honoured to support this event and to be part of the judging panel and the amazing people it recognises.”
