Awards galore at Spalding and District Snooker and Billiards League finale

It was trophy time for members of the Spalding and District Snooker and Billiards League on Friday night as all of this season’s winners received their silverware.

The league’s end of season bash was held at Spalding Services Club this year and brings the curtain down on another successful season.

CHAMPS: Division Two winners Boundary A, with Sharon Favell, are Peter King, Andy Mowforth, Stewart Lilley, John McGhee and John Tidswell.

The league’s match secretary Susan Lefley said: “Thank you everyone who attended our dinner and trophy presentation, it was great to see you all and I really hope that you enjoyed the evening.

“A special thank you to Tony Scully, Sharon Favell, Jean Thompson, Neil Reynolds, Geoff Hemsil, Dan Mayfield and Alan Hansard for all their help with the night and also Michelle for her fab singing.

“Have a lovely summer break and I look forward to seeing you all next season.”

Among the prizes handed out on the night was the league’s Highest Achievement Award, which went to Richard Tibbert (who was unable to attend).

All of the seasonal winners also lifted their titles, which included Snooker Division One winners Holbeach A, Division Two champions Boundary A, Division Three victors Donington B and Billiards kings Holbeach A.

The 2019/20 season is expected to commence in September.
