Award for litter picker

A Long Sutton litter picker has been honoured for his hard work.
James Bailey has been out and about collecting litter in the town for seven years and his commitment has been marked by East MIdlands in Bloom.
James received a judges award in this year’s honours.
The judges said the award was: “For James Bailey for his fabulous commitment to collecting litter over the last seven years, where he goes out every day to ensure that Long Sutton is beautifully litter free.”
Christine Palacio-White, secretary of Long Sutton in Bloom, said: “When details of the award were posted on Facebook, there were more than 300 comments about James and his positive effect on the town.”
