Nene Valley Harriers had two members in the South of England AA Combined Events Championships at Lee Valley, Emily Maltby winning silver and Devon Spencer bronze in the ladies’ event.
Emily improved her personal best for the 60m hurdles with a club record time of 9.4secs, she cleared 1.41 in the high jump, threw 7.84m in the shot put and jumped 5.00m in the long jump, before running a tough 800m time of 3.06mins.
A successful if a tiring day for her, scoring 2,605 points.
Devon achieved a number of indoor personal best performances.
She ran 11.06secs in 60m hurdles (pb), cleared 1.29m in the high jump, threw the shot put 7.45m (pb), jumped 4.78m before running a 3.01.70mins (pb) giving her a points personal best of 2,140.
