Artwork in the frame at library

Spalding Arts and Crafts Society has launched its latest exhibition of artwork.

Work from the group is being displayed at Spalding Library on Victoria Street during normal opening hours from now until December 13.

The club’s chair Maggie Goodsell said: “As usual there will be a wide range of excellent artwork available for sale.”

Meanwhile, the next meeting of the group takes place on Tuesday (December 2) with Holbeach artist Phil Biggs set to demonstrate a watercolour landscape.

It takes place at Pinchbeck Village Hall on Knight Street from 7.30pm.

It’s £3 for members and £5 for visitors with tea and coffee provided. The most recent meeting saw a demonstration by local artist Pru Crosby.

Pru was working on a paper that has a grain much like very fine sandpaper,” continued Maggie. “She said it’s great for holding the pastel but hard on the fingers when blending.”
