Art and open day in Holbeach at cemetery chapels

Budding artists in Holbeach can capture the majesty of the cemetery chapels on Thursday (August 10).

The artwork created during Paint Out Day will then be displayed inside the chapels at the open day this Saturday.

At Paint Out Day, art expert Phil Biggs will be on hand to offer free guidance and tips for painting the chapels.

Phil ran a successful painting workshop day at the cemetery in July.

The Graveyard Survey team will be present to share their knowledge of the site during the open day on Saturday, August 12.

Guided tours will also be available. The cemetery trails walks will be led by the chapels’ lead researcher Linden Secker and start at 11am and 2pm.

Refreshments will be available during both days.

Both events run from 10am-4pm.

On Sunday, August 13, a lichen workshop with Professor Mark Seaward takes place.

To take part, meet at 1.15pm at the Holbeach Reading Rooms.
