Arrests after shooting believed to have happened in area

A man found with suspected gunshot wounds in Boston is believed to have been shot while in the Spalding area.

A 24-year-old man was found injured by a motorist at 9.20pm on Friday (February 28).

Police initially reported that the incident took place in Boston and executed an arrest warrant in Brewsters Road in that town, but yesterday (Sunday) released a statement they now believed it took place “in the Spalding area”.

Seven people have been arrested in total. Among them are a 52-year-old man arrested on Friday and two men from Huntingdon arrested yesterday.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police, said: “We have made seven arrests in total. All remain in custody and will be questioned in due course. 

“Our investigations continue.”
