Arrest after man found with serious head injuries in Spalding town centre

A man has been left with serious head injuries after an assault in Spalding town centre in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday, October 25).

A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH following the incident in Holland Market shortly after 3am.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: “We are appealing for information after a man was assaulted outside Sainsbury’s on Holland Market, Spalding in the early hours of this morning (October 25).

“Shortly after 3am, officers received reports that a male was found with serious head injuries. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life changing.

“We have arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of GBH and he remains in police custody. Investigations are still ongoing.
