Archery championship sweet success for Silver Spoon

Archers from Silver Spoon Bowmen visited Friskney for the first Lincolnshire County Archery Society’s outdoor tournament of the summer.

Shooting in warm and sunny conditions, success came their way with a number winning their various disciplines.
Junior Jacob Mumby Croft won the Windsor 30 and was also the highest scoring novice, which was shot across all bow disciplines.

Seniors Jess Earth won the Ladies’ Windsor Compound, Zara Fowler won the Ladies’ Recurve, Sam Newton won the Gents’ Windsor Recurve, with Dave Inglis winning the overall 50-plus event and Roger Sale the Gents’ Longbow 50-plus competition.

Silver Spoon Bowmen were founded in 1975 as part of the British Sugar Sports and Social Club.

They are affiliated to Archery GB, East Midlands Archery Society and Lincolnshire County Archery Society and shoot at Holbeach Hub October-March and outdoors at Red House Farm, Donington Wykes, April-September, on Mondays and Thursdays, 7pm-9pm.
