Appeal for family of crash victim

A charity fundraising page has been started for the family of a 27-year-old man killed in a motorcycle crash last weekend.

Sutton Bridge parish council member Colin Robinson started the appeal for the man’s pregnant partner and two children.
“He leaves behind a partner who not only has a five-year-old and a six-month-old baby, but is also carrying their third child.
“Nothing anyone can do could possibly make up for the loss the family are suffering, but it is my hope that we can raise enough funds to ensure the family have no financial worries for the forseeable future,” he said.
“We have a physical collection point at Pippa’s Pantry in Sutton Bridge, but a number of people have asked for a Gofundme account to be set up.
“Christmas is a time for joy and celebration and most of all, for family, and unless you have experienced a similar tragedy, you can’t know just how badly this senseless death is hurting those involved, especially at this time of year so anything you can donate would be gratefully received.”
Mr Robinson has been in touch with the man’s parents who have given their permission for the collection.
“Naturally, money won’t help their grief but if we can unite to give them one less thing to worry about, especially over Christmas, then at least that is something we can do,” he said.
The man died after a crash at Station Road, Tydd Gote on Thursday around 7pm.
The A1101, between Long Sutton and Wisbech, was closed while emergency services dealt with the crash.
