Appeal by Holbeach air cadets squadron ahead of 50th birthday

People with links to RAF air cadets’ 2430 Holbeach Squadron are invited to take part in its 50th anniversary celebrations in May.

The squadron wants to hear from former cadets, staff and committee members to join a celebration party.

The current commanding officer, Flt Lt Dave Suddards, said: “The squadron was formed in 1964, originally as a detached flight of Spalding Squadron, but as a squadron in our own right since 1967.
“We are looking for any former cadets, staff or civilian committee members to come and join the current squadron and our guests at a celebration party in early May.”

Any former members or anybody that knows someone who was, is asked to get in touch. The squadron would also be interested in any pictures, memorabilia or stories about life in 2430.
Contact squadron chairman Jeff Goodley by emailing [email protected] or organiser Milly Miles-Stark by emailing [email protected] or calling 01406 422883.
