With Wimbledon fortnight just around the corner, Spalding Town Tennis Club is hoping to capitalise and encourage more people to try the sport and join up.

A fun open day is being held on Sunday, June 29, at the club in Holyrood Walk (noon to 4.30pm).
There will be tennis for all age groups and families.

Club vice-chairman John Constable said: “There will also be taster sessions of ‘cardio tennis’ and a speed gun to see who has the fastest serve!
“Our club coach Glenn Perkins will be on hand to offer expert advice and he will be assisted by members of the club of all ages.”

A limited number of rackets and balls will be available. The only requirement is that participants where flat soled sports shoes (normal shoes are not suitable).

A special introductory offer of 20 per cent off normal membership cost will be available to those attending, together with a free lesson with a qualified coach.
