Another shocking tragedy for Spalding

The tragic event on Tuesday (July 19) brought the number of people killed in violent circumstances in Spalding in the last two years to six.

All three incidents were unrelated and only the most recent involved a gun.

In August 2014, Spalding dad Warren Free died following a beating in a park behind his Coronation Close home. Six teenagers were cleared of murder and manslaughter charges.

And in April this year, the bodies of Liz Edwards (49) – a dinner lady at St Paul’s Community Primary School – and her youngest daughter Katie (13) were found in their Dawson Avenue home.
A girl and a boy – both aged 14 at the time – are jointly charged with murder and remain on remand.
