Another defeat for struggling Spalding Town as Wright hat-trick inspires Lindum

Spalding Town are beginning to look a little isolated at the bottom of the Lincs ECB Premier League after suffering a 46-run defeat against Lindum on Saturday.

In a game played at Spalding Grammar School, Jonathan Miles took five wickets to restrict Lindum to 145-8 batting first, of which Will Wright hit 56.

Town had 23 on the board when Wright swapped bat for ball to take the first wicket and this quickly became 24-4 as Wright completed a hat-trick before taking the fifth wicket with the score on 36.

Miles put up some opposition, hitting 23 but the final wicket fell on 99, keeping Lindum in fifth place in the table and leaving Town 26 points from safety.

More to follow.
