Anglian Water say Pinchbeck Road to close following burst water main

Pinchbeck Road looks set to be closed this weekend according to Anglian Water as it repairs a burst water main.

The repairs need to be carried out at the road’s junction with Wooldram Wygate.

And Anglian Water say the road could be closed until Monday, March 5.

On the water company’s website it says: “Due to a burst main at the junction of Pinchbeck Road and Woolram Wygate, we have to close Pinchbeck Road in order to carry out the repair safely. We expect to have the road re-opened by Monday March 5.

“We are aware that this is the main road in and out of Spalding and apologise for the inconvenience that this will cause.”

The company also tweeted: “Commuters in Spalding be aware there will be an emergency road closure at the junction of Woolram Wygate and Pinchbeck Road later today until Monday. A water mains has burst due to cold temperatures causing ground movement. We will be posting updates at anglianwater.co.uk/yourarea
