Ambassador Jake’s charity walk

A Spalding teen has given up some of his summer holiday to raise money through a sponsored walk.

Jake Winkett (15), of Spalding, is an ambassador of the Kids Out charity that aims to help children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The Spalding Academy pupil had previously set up a Giving Tree to provide the young people with Christmas presents.

And he recently walked 8.2 miles around Birmingham while visiting family there, raising over £100 for the charity.

Mum Julie said: “He has given up some of his summer holiday to complete this walk to raise money for his charity.”
