Almost 400 people at seventh annual jobs fair in Spalding

Almost 400 people took the opportunity to get advice and information on vacancies and skills at South Holland District Council’s jobs fair on Tuesday.(April 4)

It featured over 40 exhibitors from a range of sectors including the food industry, legal profession and training providers.

The event, organised by South Holland District Council’s economic development team and the Department for Work and Pensions, was at the South Holland Centre. Held annually for the last seven years, its aim is to help local jobseekers find work as well as aiding businesses in their drive to recruit staff.  

A council spokesman said: “This year’s Job Fair was certainly one of the best, we had a big turnout and lots of positive feedback from visitors.

“There was a wealth of advice and information on offer for anyone looking for work or who wants to learn more about different careers and opportunities.

“We would like to thank everyone who attended and all of the exhibitors who took part.”
