Despite the rain bringing a greener, tougher running surface to the weekly parkrun course at Snowden Field, 16 of those taking part recorded personal best times.
They were among 103 runners, joggers and walkers, which included 23 first-time visitors to the Crowland event, one of whom had travelled all the way from Sydney, Australia.
Tony Coyne was first across the finish line in 18mins 56secs, with the first female finisher being junior Iris Thomas, 16th in 23:54.
Adam Caress was the first member of Halmer Harriers across the finish line, 11th in 22:25, four places ahead of his Spalding club colleague Richard Williams, 23:53.
The 26 volunteers looked after marshalling, timing, scanning, pacing, tail walking and covering the many other jobs behind the scenes.
There will be no Snowden Field parkrun on Saturday due to a cycle competition taking place.
