All eyes on centenarian Audrey

A bingo group had a special celebration after one of its members hit three digits.

Audrey Forman attends the sessions at Lyndis Walk, Holbeach, and even did so on her 100th birthday on June 17.
Organisers for the sheltered housing scheme overseen by South Holland District Council put on a special party for her with South Holland and the Deepings MP Sir John Hayes, district councillor Tracey Carter and the authority’s cost of living response officer Emma Elghoul.
A spokesman for Lyndis Walk said: “Audrey is a local girl and a very glamorous centenarian.
“Her party was organised by the chair of the bingo committee, Betty Chapman, who at the last minute was rushed into Pilgrim Hospital and orchestrated by phone.
“It ended up being a most wonderful occasion enjoyed by all in attendance. The group would particularly like to thank the many local shops and businesses who donated over an hundred prizes. Thanks also to Lyndis Walk Community Housing Group officers, who delight us with their attendance at our events.”
