It was an all-Donington affair as the Spalding and District Snooker and Billiards League made a brief return on Wednesday night.
The Snooker Pairs final, which is part of the league’s delayed finals weekend that had been scheduled for the end of March, was contested between four players from the same club at Donington.
In a fixture played over two continuous frames, the match went all the way to the very last black.
It was Aaron Scully and Shaun Pickering who beat friendly foes Nigel Braiser and Tony Scully to lift the coveted crown.
It remains unclear as to when the other finals will take place, with no date yet set for the return of the league.
But it is hoped that all finals weekend fixtures will be completed at some stage in the near future.
