Two injured and A16 at Cowbit closed following crash

MONDAY 3pm: Two people have been taken to hospital after two vehicles collided on the A16 near Cowbit this morning.

A Renault panel van and a Vauxhall Corsa were involved in the crash at about 10.25am.

Police said: “Two occupants of the Corsa (details not known) have been taken to hospital in Peterborough but their injuries are not as serious as first thought.”

The road was closed for accident investigations and reopened at about 3pm.

 

MONDAY 12.15pm: A section of the A16 at Cowbit has been closed following a crash on Monday morning (September 28).

Emergency services and the air ambulance were called to the scene.

A police spokesman said: “Details are limited at this time but the RTC appears to involve a car and a lorry. Extent of injuries is not known but the air ambulance is in attendance.

“The road has been closed with diversions put in place and motorists are asked to avoid the area.”
