Admitted assault and theft

A woman has admitted charges of theft and assault arising out of an incident in Spalding.

Zena Lunness (35)had been due to stand trial in front of a jury at Lincoln Crown Court but changed her pleas before a jury was sworn in.

Lunness pleaded guilty to assaulting Sarah Smith causing her actual bodily harm on August 14, 2013.

Lunness, formerly of Spalding and now living in the Hyson Green area of Nottingham, also admitted theft of £50 from Ms Smith on the same date.

Recorder Steven Evans adjourned sentence for the preparation of a report and Lunness was granted conditional bail.
