Activate summer activities days prove a hit

Hundreds of youngsters enjoyed the summer programme of Activate arts and sports held across South Holland over the summer.

The free sessions, run by South Holland District Council’s communities team in partnership with other organisations, have been held at Sutton Bridge, Spalding, Gedney Drove End, Crowland and Cowbit.

“All five events were very well attended and our communities team received a lot of positive feedback,” said Coun Gary Taylor, the district council’s portfolio holder for community.

“I would like to thank everyone who came along and the organisers who ensured the programme was such a success.”

The events were held in partnership with Creation Station, Transported, 1Life and Positive Futures.
Events included climbing, rowing, garden games and arts and craft.
