Ace Kilby continues fine form with another Tydd Gote Angling Club victory

Tydd Gote Angling Club fished the early numbers on the North Level at Main Road on Sunday as they braved the remnants of Storm Callum with lashing rain and swirling winds all day making presentation difficult.

But there were still some good weights as Andrew Kilby continued his fine run of form to put 12lb 4oz on the scales from peg nine.

Pete Emery, on six, wasted an hour on the tip but still found 12lb 2oz to push Kilby all the way.

Third from peg three was Grzegorz Chalet, who showcased his ability and strength by fishing at 13m all day in the gusting wind to land a mixed bag of roach, rudd and skimmers totalling 8lb 4oz, just pipping Archie Greenwood’s 8lb 2oz from peg eight.

  • Wednesday Open result (Main Road) – 1st Sammy McSpadden 13lb 4oz (tench); 2nd Don Green 10lb 13oz (roach); 3rd Archie Greenwood 9lb 15oz (roach).
