A year shaking up Holbeach

It’s been a ‘whirlwind’ first year for Milkshake Madness which is proving a huge Holbeach success story.

Sheree Hoque and partner Thomas Humphrey set up the Boston Road eatery last year.

What started as a business serving milkshake and desserts has already expanded to bigger premises, has a staff of ten and originated a delivery service, all despite more than half of those 12 months being during a pandemic.

Now what it offers includes breakfasts, burgers, lunch offerings and Sunday menu,

“It’s been a whirlwind but we’ve really enjoyed it and it’s been very successful,” said Sheree who gave up job with a bank to start the business with her partner. “We were really busy before the lockdown but then we didn’t know what to do when that happened.

“We decided to offer the delivery service and that took off amazingly.

“While closed we redecorated the shop and now we’ve reopened we’re still really busy and keeping the delivery service in the evenings.”

Thomas is a chef with more than 15 years experience and his food has gone down a treat in Holbeach.

“We have amazing staff and quite a big team now of ten people,” Sheree continued. “They really helped us get through covid.

“It’s going really well and it’s been wonderful meeting and serving so many customers.”
