In Division One of the Spalding Darts League Rose and Crown C have started strongly and an 8-1 win over Drayman’s B strengthened their lead at the top.
The sole winner for Drayman’s was Chris Howling.
For the Rose and Crown Ant Richardson and Logan Goddard performed well in their pairs winning in 17 and 18-dart legs.
Consti D won in a tight game against Ye Olde Abbey but Ady Smith held his nerve and won 2-0 last on against Stan Browning.
Lincoln Arms A won 5-4 against Drayman’s A thanks to another captain going on last and winning, this time Luke Rhodes beat Kev Newton to take the points for the Lincoln.
Rhodes hit a 180 in his win and Josh Grainer also had one on the night. Steve Stancer and Simon Hill both had an 18-dart leg in their single wins.
Royal Mail Cart beat Green Dragon A 5-4 with Jacob Herd hitting a maximum 180 in his game against Darren Templeman to take the victory.
Chris Wing had a 106 checkout in his victory over Josh Ford.
Consti A won 5-4 again in another last game decider thanks to Nick Moyses beating Adam Godfrey.
Consti found themselves 4-3 down but Kieran Bowman won to set up the last game decider.
Sam Roberts hit a maximum 180 in his win over Tyger Atkin, Adam Brand had a nice 119 checkout in an 18-dart leg and Dan Carnell managed to hit a 17-dart leg but lost out on his game versus Jason Vines.
In Division Two Pinchbeck FC A are performing well and putting themselves up for a title challenge this year.
After winning 9-0 last week, they beat HUSC B 7-2 this week. Ash Brown was player of the night hitting an 18-dart leg and a 115 checkout.
Mulberrys won 5-4 against Five Bells with captain Chris Page winning his game against Brad Whitmore to take the victory for his team.
Pinchbeck FC B won 6-3 against Riverside A. Captain Ant Norman had a 102 checkout in his victory over Ben Taylor and Josh Burton hit a 18-dart leg against Andy Picinelli.
HUSC A this year are in fine form and managed a 5-4 win against new boys Riverside B.
Mike Ocock got the all-important win against Josh Andrew to seal the points. Daz Norton had a fine 125 checkout and Josh Higgins hit a 107 checkout in an 18-dart leg in his doubles victory with Chris Taylor.
Consti E cruised to a 7-2 victory against Lincoln Arms B. Nigel Goodwin had an 18-dart leg but lost out to Dan Gent.
With a lot of new teams in Division Three this season it will take a few weeks to find out who are favourites but two new teams battled it out and Riverside C beat Tigers A 5-4 with Alan Austin beating Martin Wells to take the win.
Another captain went on last and won it for his team, this time Ed Barnes, of the Punchbowl beat Aaron Barns 2-1 to take the victory against Pied Calf B.
Moulton Harrox won 5-4 and again captain Dan Wright went on last and won the game for his team, beating Drayman’s Arms C’s Chris Reynolds.
The result of the night was Green Dragon B who won 9-0 against Pinchbeck FC C while only dropping one leg all night.
Another new team, Tigers B, had a nice 7-2 win against Pied Calf A with Logan Quantrill checking out 100 in his win over Adam Massam.
