Tribute bench crushed by tree

A memorial bench for a Pode Hole man was crushed by a falling tree during Storm Dennis at the weekend.

The bench, by Morrison’s in Pinchbeck, carried a memorial plaque for Timothy Osborn, who worked at the supermarket and was killed in a hit-and-run collision in 2012.

Tim’s father, Stephen, said he often used the bench for moments of reflection and added it’s a busy spot.

“I know the bench is used a lot, which Tim would love to see.”

The memorial plaque has been saved and Tim’s family hope to put a replacement bench in place.
