LETTERS – I hope who took them is proud

I’m 80 years old and went to Tesco in Holbeach on Friday, January 2.

I paid for three purchases on the self-check out that came just to £3.60.

Unfortunately my mind was elsewhere and absent mindedly, I left the items behind.
It wasn’t until the next day that I realised what I’d done.

I rang up the store to see if anyone had handed it in, but nothing had been done about it.

It could have been someone right behind me who took the item.

Someone just thought they could have them.

To that person I’d like to say Happy New Year. I hope you’re proud and sleep at night.
