Welland Yacht Club’s Prior and Bell both pass course RYA Senior Instructor course

Welland Yacht Club played host to the final two days of a four-day RYA Senior Instructor course over the weekend.

With the first two days having been held at Rutland Water, the ten candidates from various clubs around the UK attended the Spalding-based club to complete the training course.

Welland’s own Tom Bell and Andy Prior successfully completed and passed the course – gaining Senior Instructor status.

Club commodore Andy Agar said “It was an honour to be approached the RYA to host the course, and served as an endorsement to how far the club had come over the years.

“The success of Bell and Prior further strengthens the clubs position as a RYA training centre.”

Anyone wanting to find more about sailing or the different RYA training courses the club can offer should contact the club via email secretary@wellandyachtclub.co.uk or via the website www.wellandyachtclub.co.uk
