LETTER: My faith is restored

I am writing to thank three kind strangers who came to my aid in Spalding on Sunday lunchtime (November 3).

I suffered a blackout on Love Lane and fell to the pavement banging my head and smashing my specs.

I came round to find two men and a lady rushing to my assistance and putting me into the recovery position and making me as comfortable as possible.

Someone called an ambulance and the kind people stayed with me until I and my bike were safely whisked away, me for hospital treatment.

In these troubled times when the news seems to carry nothing but gloom filled messages it was refreshing to experience unprompted aid and kindness from people who were just passing by at the time.

As long as there are these type of kind of people around, and I think that they are in the majority in this area, there will be always be hope for the local and wider community.

Thanks once again to the kind trio.
