Murray trots to victory at incredibly tight Spalding Golf Club competition

Kenneth Murray was the winner as Spalding Golf Club hosted a Gentleman’s Turkey Trot competition on Sunday.

Murray’s score of 31 Stableford points was enough to clinch overall victory at the Surfleet course by the barest of margins.

David Fitter took second place on countback from Nigel Prue after both racked up 30 points, just one point behind the winner.

The four players positioned between fourth and seventh were only separated by countback, too.

All four managed a strong score of 29 points, with Daran Bland leading the way in fourth.

Gary Palmer was behind him in fourth, with Wayne Wallance claiming sixth spot and Trevor Horrocks seventh.
