Hell of a Halloween in Weston

A group aiming to improve the community spirit in Weston are set to have a scream at their next event.

Love Weston is creating a special spooky trail around the village as well as a party on October 26.

Villagers are being urged to decorate their homes and there will be a trail on the day of the party ending at the Village Hall for the party at 4pm.

The first 15 to complete the trail and reach the hall will be given a pumpkin.

The party will offer a children’s disco, barbecue, bar and spooky games including apple bobbing, doughnut dangler and more.

There will also be a tuck shop, raffle and more activities on offer throughout the evening. The event is free entry but there will be charges for food, drinks and games.

There are prizes kindly donated by local businesses available for the best dressed adult and best dressed child so make sure you join in the fun and get your scary fancy dress outfits dusted down!

Chairman Hayley Hammond said: “After the success of The Big Village Picnic and the support we received from the local community we are excited to hold our first Halloween party.

“I would like to thank all the houses in the village that have agreed to decorate their homes for the trail and also to all the committee members who have given their time to make this happen.”
