Sir John Hayes MP says “dither” over Brexit must end tomorrow

Sir John Hayes MP has spoken ahead of tomorrow’s big Brexit vote on a new withdrawal agreement.

“Anybody who votes against the deal will face a lot of questions from their constituents who feel this has got to be brought to a conclusion,” Sir John said today (Friday).

Tomorrow MPs will vote on the new deal, which is hoped by prime minister Boris Johnson to get his newly created plan through and allow the UK to leave the European Union.

“Boris Johnson has seized the initiative and injected a sense of urgency,” he added, saying the current situation in Parliament has been one of “continuing dither”.

“We have got to get Brexit done and move on,” he said.

Sir John has long campaigned against EU membership for Britain.
