A women is celebrating a year of being cancer-free in style by throwing a spectacular Boobie Ball this weekend.
Stars from Emmerdale are set to be in attendance for the event organised by Tina Rowe of Spalding to raise money for Breast Cancer Care and Prostate Cancer UK.
The 41-year-old who runs Rose Letting Agency said: “Me and my mates wanted to do a ball.
“Learning I had breast cancer was just absolutely brutal.
“I was putting my hair up in a mirror when I realised half of my breast had gone.
“I’d had no lumps or other signs – nothing.”
Thankfully within weeks she’d had official diagnosis and an operation to remove the tumour.
“The NHS were amazing,” she continued: “I am a great believer that your body tells you somehow. You need to know your body and look out for the signs, this will save your life.”
Tina’s cancer was grade three, the most aggressive, but though she’s currently cancer free, she’s only just into 10 years of hormone treatment.
After the scare Tina decided to put on the Boobie Ball at Springfields Event Centre on Saturday which includes a fabulous four-course meal and entertainment, as well as showings from Emmerdale stars Bhasker Patel (Rishi Sharma), Liam Fox (Dan Spencer) and Jonny McPherson (Liam Cavanagh).
The over-500 tickets for the event sold out within four hours of going on sale last October.

Speaking from Tenerife where Tina and her friends are on holiday, she said: “We’re really looking forward to it.
“It should be a fantastic evening.
“Everyone has been amazing and very supportive but most importantly, my husband Andy, my parents and in-laws, my three sisters and best friends. Laughing is the best medicine for anyone and anything.”
