Crowland’s youngsters are boosted by Burmor’s brilliant backing

Crowland Juniors Under-12s Black have been given backing by a construction firm  currently building social housing in Spalding.

Market Deeping-based Burmor Projects, which is working on 20 properties at Willow Walk in Spalding, has sponsored a smart new away kit bearing the club badge and the boys’ squad numbers.

Burmor managing director Luke Boekestyn said: “I’m really pleased to be able to help the team.

“My family has had a long association with youth football and I know a bit of sponsorship can be a big help and motivate everyone.

“I wish the boys the best of luck.”

The team will compete in several tournaments over the summer – including the club’s own at Snowden Field in June – and the Peterborough Junior Alliance League next season.

Manager Jay Vernalls said: “We’re very grateful to Luke and Burmor Projects for their support.

“We’re a new team and I wanted us to keep with the ethos here at Crowland of being a family club.

“So I set up a sponsorship and fundraising committee of three or four parents and they’ve organised this, which is great.”
