Holbeach branch of the Royal British Legion has presented £6,000 in donations.
The house amenities committee of the Legion’s Break Centre, Alderson House at Bridlington, and the Legion’s residential home at Halsey House in Cromer each received £2,000.
Richard Hewitt, of the Alderson House committee, and Tony Goodwin, of the Halsey House committee, spoke about the remit and work of their establishments.
Branch chairman Avril Newey presented them with cheques, which will help provide extras for the clients and residents.
Members and guests enjoyed a light buffet. A raffle raised £48 for the Poppy Appeal.
lHolbeach branch meets on the third Wednesday of each month (except August) at the Holbeach United Services Club, Church Street, Holbeach (7pm). You do not have to have served in the Armed Forces to be a member of the Legion.
