There have been several letters about Sir John Hayes recently.
I would like to say that Sir John has been helpful on many occasions in dealing with my various enquiries over matters such as EuroAtom treaty, JET and INTER, medical isotopes, in context of Brexit.
Domestically queries over Windscale (Sellafield), long term high level radioactive waste storage, especially in relation to fracking and its geological effects and the Garden Village Scheme and local planning matters.
These have all been well outside the normal constituency MP and I wish to give him credit for being the best constituency MP I have encountered in over 50 years.
I also wish to give credit for his involvement as a consultant for the education of Saudi women, it is a positive step in changing their place in society, and to quote Gandhi ‘to educate a woman is to educate a family’, so this small step could become a giant leap.
Sir John has always behaved as a gentleman even though we are very far apart politically, basically one of the best.
