Eight for Moulton in pre Christmas romp

Moulton Harrox have a seven point gap over reigning champions Netherton United at the top of the Peterborough and District Football League Premier Division heading into 2019.

It follows Moulton’s 8-0 demolition of Ketton just before Christmas.

Both Declan Earth and Danny Maddison scored braces for Moulton.

Also on the scoresheet was Ashley Coddington, Josh McGuire, Marcus Parry and Matthew Watkin.

Their first fixture of 2009 sees them visit third placed Thorney.

Moulton’s Reserves were in action against Spalding Town in Division One on Saturday, December 29 with the sides playing out a 2-2 draw.

Jake Farrell was among the scorers for Moulton.

Spalding Town are among four clubs to have applied for promotion to the Premier Division.

In the same division the previous week, Crowland Town enjoyed a big 6-3 win over FC Peterborough with Liam Rigg scoring four goals for the home side.

Corban Oldham and sub Jamie Beeken completed the win.

The victory moves Crowland up three places to eighth in the table.
