Ozzy’s fantastic legwarmers win him the Festive Pet competition

It was such a tough decision to pick the winner of our Festive Pets competition this year – but someone had to take first prize and Ozzy is the 2018 Festive Pet champ.

Almost everyone who took part was rocking the Santa look with hats, bandanas and suits galore.

But there was only one soul brave enough to take on the full retro-feel and break out the legwarmers to complete his outfit.

And he also proves that there is plenty of life in an older dog because Ozzy here is ten, with a few grey hairs and a face full of wisdom and doggy sense.

The entries flooded in and included everything from a Guinea pig pulling a sleigh to a Nativity scene featuring rabbits and stars.

All the pictures we were sent have been included in a festive edition of the Spalding Voice over the last month and the judging was well and truly started.

The lovely picture of Ozzy was sent in by Madison Corby, of Spalding, who wins a £100 voucher to spend with Rooke’s Pet Products, sponsors of the competition.

“We always look forward to seeing the entries arrive for the Festive Pets each year and the 2018 pictures were really lovely. It was a very difficult choice, but Ozzy and his fantastic little legwarmers stood out and caught the judge’s eye,” said editor Rachel Mayfield.
